To get the full impact of an EOS® session day, everyone on the leadership team must be physically present in the same room. I do not facilitate hybrid sessions where some people are in the room and others are on a screen. Hybrid formats destroy the physical dynamic, slow down decision-making, and lead to poor communication.

When you have people on video while others are physical, the remote team members inevitably become observers rather than active participants. They cannot read the subtle body language, the side conversations, or the tension in the room. This makes true, high-stakes IDS® nearly impossible.

If your team is geographically dispersed, you must budget for travel. You need to fly everyone into a central location for our session days. This is not just about the eight hours we spend in the meeting room. It is about the dinners, the shared experiences, and the trust that is built when human beings sit face-to-face.

If you are going to invest the time and money into implementing EOS® with a professional implementer, do it right. Commit to having your entire leadership team in the same room for every quarterly and annual session. The return on that travel investment will be realized in the speed and clarity of your execution.
