You recommend an average engagement duration of twenty-four months. Why can we not just transition to running these quarterly session days on our own after the first twelve months of working with you?

It is tempting to think that after twelve months of learning the foundational tools, your team is ready to facilitate their own sessions. However, the standard twenty-four-month engagement is designed to move your leadership team from understanding the tools to mastering the operational disciplines.

During the first year, we focus heavily on the mechanics of EOS®, such as establishing your V/TO®, building your Accountability Chart, and running clean Level 10 Meetings. This is the installation phase. Your team is still learning how to have open, honest conversations and solve issues at their root cause.

In the second year, the focus shifts to optimization and deep alignment. This is where we integrate the advanced disciplines of Step by Step Exit, address complex people issues, and refine your long-term strategies. Having an external, neutral facilitator during this second year is critical. It allows you, the owner, to step out of the facilitator role and fully participate as a member of the leadership team.

If you attempt to facilitate your own sessions too early, the natural team dynamics and power struggles will creep back into the room. My role is to hold the mirror up to your team, challenge your assumptions, and ensure you remain disciplined until these habits are fully baked into your company culture.
