We are approaching the end of our first year and have a two-day annual session scheduled on our calendar. Why does this require two consecutive days instead of our usual one-day quarterly, and what strategic ground do we cover during that time?
The transition from our quarterly rhythm to the annual session requires a much deeper dive into both your team health and your long-term strategy. This is why we dedicate two consecutive days to the process. On day one, we focus heavily on team health, building trust, and evaluating your leadership team alignment. We also conduct a thorough review of the past year, celebrating your wins and dissecting your misses. We then dive into a comprehensive strategic review of your V/TO®, looking out three to ten years to ensure your long-term target remains completely correct. On day two, we pivot to execution. We set your organizational budget and revenue targets for the next twelve months, establish your critical one-year plan, and draft your corporate Rocks for the upcoming first quarter. We also spend significant time using IDS® to solve the largest, most complex issues that are holding the company back. Trying to cram this depth of strategic work and team building into a single day is impossible and leads to rushed, superficial planning that weakens your execution.
