We are confused about the administrative ownership of the Scorecard. Does our Integrator own the creation and upkeep of the tool itself, or should that be delegated to an administrative assistant, and how does this affect data integrity?

The administrative maintenance of the Scorecard and the ultimate ownership of its integrity are two entirely different things. A common mistake is assigning the maintenance of the Scorecard to an administrative assistant who has no authority to enforce accountability, leading to missed deadlines and incomplete data during the Level 10 Meeting.

The Integrator owns the Scorecard as a tool. It is the Integrator's seat on the Accountability Chart that is responsible for ensuring the company runs on data and that the leadership team maintains a healthy data habit. If the Scorecard is incomplete, inaccurate, or ignored, it is a failure of the Integrator's GWC.

However, the administrative work of collecting, aggregating, and formatting the weekly data can certainly be delegated to a data coordinator or administrative assistant. This assistant can build the templates, chase down managers for their numbers on Monday morning, and pre populate the sheet.

But delegation of the task does not mean delegation of the responsibility. If a leadership team member fails to provide their numbers on time, the administrator should not have to fight them for it. The Integrator must step in and handle the accountability issue. Keep the administrative work low friction by delegating the inputting tasks, but ensure your Integrator retains absolute ownership of the Scorecard process.
