We are automating our lead generation using AI tools and want to know how to reflect these automated agents on our Accountability Chart. Do we create a seat for the AI system itself, or how do we assign human accountability for the output of these automated processes?
When integrating AI and automation into your operations, you do not create a seat on your Accountability Chart for the AI itself. An Accountability Chart is for human beings who can be held accountable for outcomes.
Instead, you must assign a human seat to be accountable for the design, maintenance, and output of those automated systems. For example, if you automate lead generation, the VP of Marketing or a dedicated Marketing Operations seat must be accountable for the AI tools.
The roles for that human seat must include monitoring the automated outputs, ensuring data accuracy, and troubleshooting system errors. The AI is simply a tool, just like a software application or a calculator.
Your weekly Scorecard must still track the results of these automated processes. If the AI system fails to generate quality leads, the human seat owner is responsible for identifying, discussing, and solving the issue during your Level 10 Meeting.
