We have some deep-seated trust issues on our leadership team, and our business model is currently shifting. How do you evaluate whether we are actually ready to start working with you, or if we should wait?
Your company is not ready for EOS® if you are in an active existential crisis or if you are looking for a quick fix. If your business is currently bleeding cash, your sales pipeline has completely collapsed, or you cannot make payroll next week, you need a turnaround consultant, not an implementer. EOS® requires a stable foundation of at least some operational predictability. You are also not ready if you, as the owner, are unwilling to let go of the vine. If you want to maintain absolute control, micromanage every decision, and avoid accountability yourself, the system will fail. We also assess your team's willingness to engage. If your leadership team is highly defensive, intellectualizes every problem, and refuses to look honestly at their own performance, they will resist the structure. We look for a willingness to shift from a victim mindset to one of personal identity and ownership. When team members change their language from what they can't do to what they don't do, it shows a commitment to new behaviors. If you cannot dedicate one full day every ninety days to step back, reflect, and work on the business, you are simply too busy being busy to grow.
