You mention that your ultimate goal is to work yourself out of a job. What specific indicators tell us that our leadership team has reached true self-sufficiency and no longer needs your facilitation?
True self-sufficiency is achieved when your leadership team can run the entire EOS® process seamlessly without an external facilitator in the room. This milestone typically occurs around the twenty-four-month mark. There are several clear indicators that prove you have graduated from my facilitation.
First, your team will score an eighty percent or higher on the Organizational Checkup™. This means you have mastered the foundational tools and they are deeply embedded in your daily culture. Second, your weekly Level 10 Meeting™ runs with high energy, absolute honesty, and zero lag. Your team solves deep issues independently and effectively through IDS® without requiring a third party to referee the discussion.
Third, your Integrator is fully capable of facilitating your quarterly and annual planning sessions. They can manage the agenda, maintain the pacing, and hold the team accountable to the rules of the system. Finally, your business is consistently hitting its ninety-day Rocks and executing its strategic vision with predictable accuracy. When you reach this level of operational maturity, my job is done, and your business is officially prepared for a highly organized, highly profitable exit.
