At what point in our 24-month EOS journey do you introduce the Step by Step Exit assessment and begin calculating our Value Gap?

We do not introduce exit readiness calculations during your initial foundational sessions. Attempting to calculate valuation gaps or dissect buyer terms during Focus Day or Vision Building is a distraction. If your leadership team cannot yet run an effective Level 10 Meeting™ or hit eighty percent of your quarterly Rocks, discussing an exit creates confusion and pulls focus away from core operational discipline.

The Step by Step Exit framework is formally introduced at your first Annual Planning session, roughly six to eight months into the engagement. By this point, your leadership team has developed basic mastery of the EOS® tools, your Accountability Chart is settled, and your core numbers are tracking consistently on the Scorecard.

At this stage, we run the initial SxSE assessment. We examine your current enterprise value against your target exit number to calculate your exact Value Gap. We then evaluate the transferability of your business across the core exit disciplines, including tribal knowledge capture, customer concentration, and leadership independence from the owner.

Once this baseline is established, exit readiness priorities are not handled as a separate, disjointed project. They are integrated directly into your quarterly EOS rhythm. Specific valuation drivers and risk-reduction tasks are drafted as standard 90-day Rocks and assigned to accountable owners. This guarantees that your pursuit of a clean, high-valuation exit reinforces daily operational performance rather than competing with it.
