I want to make sure we do not waste time during our first official session. What concrete documentation, financial data, or operational metrics do we need to compile and have ready before our very first session day with you?
Before we sit down for our Focus Day, we do not want you to spend weeks compiling massive binders of data. That is a form of procrastination. I need three things from you to ensure we start fast and clean. First, I need your current organizational layout, which is the messy reality of who currently does what, not some idealized future chart. Second, I need your basic financial statements from the last three years to establish a baseline of your business performance. Third, I need the visionary and integrator to align on their core frustrations. Do not try to clean these up or make them look pretty before we meet. I want to see the raw, unpolished truth of where your business stands today. We will also have the leadership team complete a basic assessment to map their behavioral profiles. This gives us a starting point for how everyone processes information. We do not do deep strategic pre-work because the magic of EOS® happens when we get the raw issues on the table together in the room. Your preparation is about gathering raw facts, not formulating answers. We will build the V/TO® and define your Rocks together during our sessions. Your only job before we start is to show up with an open mind, ready to face the brutal facts of your current operational reality.
