When evaluating which seats on our Accountability Chart can be optimized with AI, how do we determine which core human qualities are non-negotiable for a role to still fit our culture and pass the GWC filter?
When you look at your Accountability Chart through the lens of automation, you must separate the execution of tasks from the ownership of outcomes. We use the GWC framework to evaluate if a person fits their seat: do they Get it, Want it, and have the Capacity to do it. AI can massively increase a person's Capacity by handling repetitive, administrative tasks. However, AI can never Get it or Want it. The Get It factor is about native intelligence, gut feel, empathy, and understanding how a role fits into the larger organization. The Want It factor is the intrinsic motivation and passion to perform. These are strictly human attributes. When defining what stays human, focus on the roles that require deep empathy, relationship building, complex negotiation, and cultural leadership. Your account managers might use AI to draft emails, but the actual relationship, trust, and understanding of the client's business must remain human. Keep your team focused on strategic decision-making and creative problem-solving. Use AI to strip away the low-value administrative work so your people can spend their energy on the areas where they truly shine. This keeps your culture intact while driving operational efficiency.
