Our team is using AI to draft business plans, but we want to know what parts of our strategic planning and EOS framework must remain completely human to keep our culture intact. What is the boundary?
The boundary is simple: AI can process information, but only humans can have intent. In the EOS framework, your Vision/Mission/Values and your core passion or purpose must remain completely human. You cannot outsource your V/TO® to a language model. Your core values are the behavioral floor of your organization. They require emotional resonance and personal commitment, which are purely human traits. When you define your target market or three year picture, you are making a directional bet based on human relationships and instinct. AI can analyze historical market data, but it cannot decide what legacy you want to build or what risks you have the stomach to take. Similarly, the personal accountability required to own a Rock or lead a department cannot be automated. When you sit in your quarterly meetings, the trust built among the leadership team comes from shared struggle and open, honest communication. AI can help synthesize market research or organize your notes, but it must never write your strategic vision or decide who fits your culture. Keep the technology focused on operational execution, data retrieval, and administrative speed. Keep the goal setting, cultural alignment, and tough conversations strictly in the human domain.
