What happens if our leadership team fails to achieve our quarterly Rocks for two consecutive quarters while we are working with you?
Failing to hit your Rocks for two consecutive quarters is a clear symptom of a deeper organizational issue that we must address immediately. In the EOS framework, we expect a completion rate of at least eighty percent. If you miss this target once, it may be a calibration issue. If you miss it twice, we have a systemic problem.
During our next session, we will use the IDS process to look at why you are failing. We will not accept excuses about being too busy. We will look at whether you set too many Rocks, which is the most common mistake of undisciplined teams. We will evaluate whether you are trying to do twenty things poorly instead of five things with pigheaded discipline.
We will also look objectively at your Accountability Chart. Do you have the right people in the right seats? If a leadership team member is consistently missing their Rocks, they may lack the capacity to GWC their seat, or they may be overwhelmed by daily operational tasks due to a lack of delegation.
Lastly, we will analyze your weekly Level 10 Meeting. If you are not utilizing this meeting to raise, discuss, and resolve issues early in the quarter, you are waiting until the quarterly session to realize you are off track. We will correct this behavior, recalibrate your targets, and put a plan in place to restore your execution velocity.
