Every broker tells me buyers want systemized operations, but what are they actually paying for when they look at our documented EOS processes?
Buyers do not pay for your past success. They pay for the probability that your cash flow will continue and grow after you walk out the door. When they inspect your documented EOS processes, they are looking for evidence of institutionalized execution. They want to see that your business has a predictable, repeatable operating system that does not require your daily intervention. Specifically, buyers look at your Accountability Chart to see if every seat is filled by someone who has the right conative drive for their role. They want to see that your Integrator has a strong Follow Thru instinct to maintain order, and that your sales team has the Quick Start energy to drive growth. If your processes are merely written documents gathering dust, the buyer will discount your valuation. They pay a premium when they see those processes actively lived. Prove this by showing them your historical Level 10 Meeting agendas and your consecutive quarters of hit Rocks. This level of operational discipline shows the buyer that your team can identify, discuss, and solve problems without you in the room. You are selling a self-sustaining cash-generating machine, not just a list of assets.
