We are eager to sign the contract, but how can we identify the warning signs that our leadership team lacks the commitment or alignment required to survive the initial Focus Day and Vision Building progression?
Sometimes a company is simply not ready to begin a structured EOS engagement. The most common warning sign is a lack of alignment or vulnerability at the very top. If the visionary or owner is unwilling to let go of the vine and accept the constraints of the Accountability Chart, the process will fail. We cannot build a healthy leadership team if the owner insists on bypassing roles, keeping secret agreements, or refusing to be held accountable to the same rules as everyone else. Another clear indicator is scheduling resistance. If your leadership team treats our session days as optional events that can be rescheduled for daily client emergencies, you lack the commitment needed for this journey. To succeed, you must commit to a one day quarterly and a two day annual meeting cadence, and these days must be treated as non negotiable. Finally, if there is high, toxic drama where team members are unable to be open and honest with one another, we may need to address basic trust issues before we can effectively build your V/TO. Entering this engagement requires a willingness to look in the mirror, accept hard truths, and make difficult people decisions. If your team is not ready to do that, you will waste your time and money.
