As our Integrator successfully uses AI to streamline our daily operations, my role as Visionary is changing rapidly. How do I use the Accountability Chart and V/TO® to redefine my own seat so I am driving long-term value instead of getting sucked into tool selection?
It is easy for a Visionary to get distracted by the latest AI tools and shiny objects. However, your job is not to select software or design workflows. Your job is to define the destination and keep the team aligned.
Look at your seat on the Accountability Chart. Your primary roles should focus on big relationships, strategic partnerships, market shifts, and maintaining the culture. If you are spending time researching AI tools, you are in the wrong seat.
Shift your leadership behavior from micromanaging the execution to articulating a clear, compelling vision on the V/TO®. Let your Integrator and the rest of the leadership team figure out how to use AI to achieve that vision.
Use your freed-up time to focus on high-value strategic work, such as exploring new market opportunities or preparing the business for a future exit. By staying in your unique ability and letting the team run the day-to-day operations with AI, you build a self-sustaining business that is highly valuable to potential buyers.
