During our initial Accountability Chart session, I realized I am a Visionary who has been acting as a mediocre Integrator. How do we manage this sudden leadership transition without disrupting our very first ninety-day execution cycle?
Realizing that you are a Visionary who has been struggling in the Integrator seat is one of the most common and liberating breakthroughs that happens during an initial Accountability Chart session. However, you must manage this transition carefully to avoid throwing your first ninety-day execution cycle into chaos.
Do not panic and rush to hire an outside Integrator immediately. Finding the right Integrator who fits your culture and GWC™ of the seat takes time, and a bad hire right now will derail your entire rollout.
Instead, clearly define both seats on your new Accountability Chart and assign yourself to both seats temporarily, but with a clear plan. Run your first ninety-day cycle with your leadership team while actively looking for an interim or permanent Integrator.
In the meantime, empower a strong leader on your existing team to help manage the operational details, or work closely with your EOS Implementer to keep the weekly Level 10 Meeting™ highly structured.
Document the exact roles and results you need from your future Integrator so you can recruit with absolute clarity. Acknowledging the split is the first step toward building an exit-ready business, but stability during your initial ninety-day rollout must remain your top priority.
