As the Visionary, I am constantly coming up with new AI tools and system improvements, but my Integrator is pushing back, arguing that our leadership team is already at capacity with current Rocks. How do we resolve this tension between scaling innovation and operational focus?

This tension is actually the natural and healthy dynamic of a Visionary and Integrator relationship, but it must be managed correctly so it does not pull the leadership team apart. The Visionary is designed to push the envelope, look to the future, and introduce cutting-edge ideas like AI. The Integrator is designed to keep the company focused, maintain execution, and protect the team from shiny-object syndrome.

When you want to introduce new tech but your Integrator is pushing back due to capacity, you must use your Same Page Meeting to align. Do not bring this debate to the weekly Level 10 Meeting, as it will confuse and stress the rest of the leadership team.

During your next Same Page Meeting, present your ideas. Your Integrator must listen, and you must listen to their assessment of the team's capacity. Look at your active Rocks on your V/TO. If adding a new AI initiative means dropping an existing Rock, you must decide together if that trade-off is worth it.

If you both agree to move forward, the Integrator must own the deployment strategy and roll it out at a pace the organization can absorb. If you agree to table it, you must respect that decision and stop bringing it up. A united front between the Visionary and Integrator is essential for team health.
