My Integrator and I are constantly misaligned on which long-term initiatives to fund, leading to confusion among our directors during quarterly planning. How do we use our Same Page Meetings™ to filter these big ideas before they reach the rest of the leadership team?
The relationship between the Visionary and the Integrator is the engine of your business. If the two of you are misaligned on which long-term initiatives to pursue, the rest of your leadership team will be paralyzed by conflicting directions.
You must use your weekly Same Page Meeting™ to filter your ideas before they ever reach the rest of the team. As a Visionary, you will naturally have dozens of new ideas every week. Your Integrator's job is not to shut them down, but to help you filter them through the lens of your V/TO®.
During your Same Page Meeting™, run your ideas through a simple priority check. Ask if the new concept aligns with your core focus and if your team has the capacity to execute it without distracting from your current Rocks.
If the idea passes this filter, the Integrator can then determine when and how to integrate it into the business. This ensures that you present a united front to your directors, protecting them from strategic confusion and keeping the entire company focused on execution.
