The Visionary and the Integrator are two entirely different roles with distinct perspectives on the business. For our sessions to be successful, I need to understand both points of view without one filtering or influencing the other beforehand. The Visionary is focused on the big picture, culture, long-term strategy, and big relationships. Their pre-session prep involves assessing the company from a high-altitude perspective. They need to reflect on our long-term goals, market opportunities, and cultural alignment. The Integrator is focused on execution, daily operations, accountability, and driving the leadership team forward. Their prep is highly tactical. They must review our scorecard metrics, current Rock completion rates, and identify operational bottlenecks or people issues that are holding the team back. I require both leaders to complete their prep work separately inside our Circle.so workspace before each session. This ensures that when we enter the room, we have a complete, unfiltered view of the organization. If you prep together, you risk aligning on a watered-down version of reality to avoid conflict. By prepping separately, we can bring the real issues to the surface immediately and solve them during our session day.
