My Integrator and I keep having side conversations and changing our minds on strategic decisions after our official offsite meetings, which is completely confusing the rest of our leadership team. How do we stop this misalignment and present a united front?
When the Visionary and Integrator are not aligned, the leadership team experiences whiplash. This misalignment filters down through the entire organization, causing confusion, frustration, and a complete lack of execution.
To fix this, you must commit to a weekly Same Page Meeting. This is a private, dedicated block of time for just the Visionary and Integrator to sync, debate, and align on all major decisions before presenting them to the leadership team.
Never debate or disagree on strategic direction in front of your leadership team. If you have different perspectives, resolve them behind closed doors. Use the IDS® process during your Same Page Meeting to hash out your differences.
Once you walk out of that room, you must present a completely united front. The leadership team needs to know that when the Integrator speaks, they are speaking with the full support and alignment of the Visionary. This consistency builds trust and keeps the entire team focused on executing the V/TO®.
