How do you handle a situation where the Visionary and Integrator are completely misaligned on the direction of the business during a session, and how does your process keep us from spinning our wheels?

When a Visionary and an Integrator are misaligned, the entire business stalls. During our quarterly session days, this friction often comes to the surface, and my job as your facilitator is to guide you through it without letting the team spin its wheels. We address this misalignment directly using the Same Page Meeting tool. This is a disciplined, monthly meeting where the Visionary and Integrator sit down privately to get on the same page, discuss their relationship, and resolve any operational or strategic differences. If a major split occurs during a full day session, we immediately drop the issue into our IDS track. We use the Accountability Chart to clarify who has final decision making authority for the seat in question. We strip away personal feelings and look at what is best for the business. By focusing on the defined roles and the long term goals outlined in your V/TO, we remove the emotional baggage that often fuels executive conflict. If the misalignment is deep and persistent, it becomes a structural issue that we must solve, as the business cannot scale if the top two leaders are pulling in opposite directions.
