A leadership team cannot follow two drivers. When a Visionary and an Integrator clash over who facilitates the Level 10 Meeting™, it creates operational whiplash, weakens the Integrator's authority, and turns a structured meeting into a chaotic debate.

The rule here is clean and non-negotiable: the Integrator runs the business, and therefore, the Integrator runs the Level 10 Meeting™.

The Integrator is responsible for maintaining the pulse, keeping the team focused, and enforcing the agenda. They must facilitate IDS® and call out anyone who drifts off-track, including the Visionary.

The Visionary seat on the Accountability Chart is designed for big-picture ideas, culture, and major relationships, not weekly operational management. During the meeting, the Visionary is a participant, not the facilitator. They should bring their unique insights to the Issues List, but they must yield to the Integrator's facilitation.

To make this transition successful, the two of you must get on the same page during a same-page meeting before the weekly pulse. Align on the key issues you want to address and agree on your respective roles.

If the Visionary struggles to step back, the Integrator must hold them accountable to their seat. When the team sees a unified front with clear boundaries, the meeting momentum will immediately improve.
