I am the Visionary, and I find myself constantly correcting our Integrator's facilitation of the Level 10 Meeting. It is creating tension, but I feel the meeting is losing its edge. How do I step back without letting the quality drop?
When a Visionary constantly chips away at the Integrator's facilitation during a Level 10 Meeting™, it breaks the Accountability Chart™ and destroys the team's trust. The Integrator is the one accountable for running the business, which includes leading the weekly meeting pulse. If you step in and override them in front of the team, you undermine their authority. To resolve this tension, you must take your feedback out of the Level 10 Meeting entirely. Address this during your weekly Same Page Meeting™ with your Integrator. This is where you can openly and honestly discuss how the meetings are being run, review the meeting ratings, and align on facilitation strategies. During the Level 10 Meeting itself, your role as the Visionary is to be a participant, not the driver. You are there to provide big-picture perspective, flag strategic issues, and contribute to IDS®. You must trust your Integrator to manage the clock and keep the team on track. If the meeting is truly losing its edge, check the meeting ratings at the end. If the team is consistently rating the meeting below an eight, that is an issue for the Integrator to solve. Offer your feedback privately, help them improve their skills, and then let them do their job. This discipline is essential for preparing your business for a clean exit, as it proves the company can execute without you pulling the strings.
