My Integrator and I have hit a complete stalemate over whether to launch a major new service line, and our weekly Same Page Meeting has turned adversarial. How do a Visionary and Integrator break a strategic deadlock when neither leader will yield?

Friction between a Visionary and an Integrator is natural, but a deadlock that halts decision-making threatens the entire company. When you reach an impasse, you cannot let stubbornness replace process.

Use this protocol to resolve the deadlock:
- Return to your Vision/Traction Organizer® (V/TO®). Filter the proposed service line strictly against your Core Focus and your 10-Year Target. If the initiative falls outside your core operational sweet spot, it is dead on arrival. The Visionary must let it go.
- If the opportunity aligns with your Core Focus, let the Integrator evaluate the operational capacity. The Integrator is accountable for harmonious execution and profit. If the data shows that rolling out the service line will break current delivery or crush cash flow, the initiative must be shelved.
- Take the dispute to your quarterly offsite or bring in your professional EOS Implementer to facilitate an objective IDS® session. A neutral third party can strip the emotion out of the room, forcing both leaders to confront facts rather than personal convictions.
- Remember the fundamental rule of the Visionary-Integrator relationship: the Integrator has the final say on operational execution, but the Visionary, as the owner, holds the ultimate tie-breaker on company vision. If the Visionary pulls rank, however, they must accept full responsibility for the operational consequences.

Schedule an extended Same Page Meeting™ offsite. Clear the air, look at the cold numbers, and commit fully to a single path.
