My Integrator constantly accuses me of going around them to make side promises to clients and staff, while I feel like they are suffocating my ability to build strategic relationships and seize fast market opportunities. How do we establish a Same Page process that eliminates this friction without killing entrepreneurial speed?

This is the classic Visionary and Integrator dynamic, and when left unaddressed, it fractures leadership teams. Visionaries naturally move fast, spot opportunities, and sell possibilities. Integrators exist to create focus, execution, and organizational discipline. When you bypass your Integrator to make commitments directly to staff or clients, you destroy your Integrator's operational authority and create chaos for the departments trying to deliver.

To fix this, implement a mandatory, weekly Same Page meeting between just the Visionary and the Integrator. This is a dedicated 60 to 90 minute pulse where you bring every new idea, market opportunity, and operational frustration to the table before anyone else hears about it.

During this pulse, use the EOS IDS process (Identify, Discuss, and Solve) to filter ideas against your Vision/Traction Organizer (V/TO). If an opportunity aligns with your core focus and three-year picture, decide together how and when to roll it out.

Establish two non-negotiable ground rules:
- The Visionary agrees never to commit internal resources or make operational promises to staff or clients without the Integrator's prior agreement.
- The Integrator agrees never to kill an idea outright without testing its strategic upside during the Same Page meeting.

When this discipline is maintained, the friction becomes productive tension. The Integrator protects delivery capacity, while the Visionary continues hunting growth without creating operational whiplash.
