Since bringing in an Integrator, I feel shut out of my own company. My Integrator enforces boundaries so strictly that I have zero visibility into daily operations, creating intense friction between us. How do we fix this without collapsing operational discipline?

This friction occurs when an Integrator confuses operational execution with information isolation. An Integrator is hired to beat the drum, harmonize the leadership team, and execute the business plan. They are not hired to build a wall between the founder and the company.

To resolve this immediately, implement a recurring weekly Same Page Meeting. This is a non-negotiable ninety-minute block where only the Visionary and Integrator sit down to align on big-picture strategy, review critical organizational developments, and air grievances before they reach the rest of the leadership team. Use this time to IDS fundamental disagreements on communication and visibility.

Next, clarify the difference between visibility and interference. As the Visionary, you are entitled to full visibility into company Scorecards, financial health, and Rock progress. What you cannot do is cross functional lines to give backdoor assignments to frontline employees or contradict the Integrator in public.

Agree on a clear information rhythm. The Integrator provides structured operational updates and alerts you to systemic issues; in return, you channel your creative ideas, client feedback, and operational observations directly through the Integrator rather than scattering them across department managers. Mutual trust returns only when boundaries exist alongside radical transparency.
