My Integrator and I are in constant conflict because I keep going directly to our department heads with new ideas, which my Integrator says undermines their authority. How do we establish clear boundaries on the Accountability Chart to stop this friction?

This is one of the most common friction points in an EOS company. As the Visionary, your brain moves fast and you are wired to create. However, when you bypass your Integrator and go straight to the team, you create chaos, confuse priorities, and break the Accountability Chart. You are effectively dismantling the very structure you built to scale the business.

To fix this, you must respect the line of reporting. On the Accountability Chart, the Integrator sits between you and the rest of the leadership team. Your ideas must go through the Integrator, not around them.

Implement a weekly Same Page Meeting with your Integrator. This is where you download your new ideas, strategic shifts, and potential changes. Use this time to debate and align. Once you are on the same page, the Integrator will decide how and when to roll these ideas out to the team, if at all.

If you have an urgent idea during the week, write it down and save it for your Same Page Meeting. Do not text your department heads or assign tasks in the hallway.

By funneling your vision through the Integrator, you protect the team from whiplash. This allows the Integrator to maintain focus and execute the V/TO and Rocks. It also builds trust between the two of you, turning friction into a powerful partnership that drives the business forward.
