What distinct operational duties do our Visionary and Integrator own between our quarterly sessions to ensure commitments do not stall?

The dynamic between the Visionary and Integrator dictates whether your EOS implementation takes root or stalls out. Between sessions, both roles have strict, non-overlapping operational duties that must be maintained.

The Integrator owns the execution rhythm. They are responsible for driving the weekly Level 10 Meeting, holding leadership team members accountable to their weekly To-Dos, and tracking the company Scorecard metrics. If a Rock falls behind schedule, the Integrator surfaces it early during the weekly pulse rather than waiting until month three. They manage day-to-day friction, break departmental logjams, and ensure that the decisions finalized with me in the session room are actually carried out across operations.

The Visionary has a very different mandate. Their job between sessions is to maintain high-level industry relationships, close strategic partnerships, and communicate the company vision to key stakeholders. Crucially, the Visionary must avoid throwing operational hand grenades into the leadership team. That means they cannot bypass the Integrator to assign random, off-plan projects to managers, and they cannot alter agreed-upon quarterly Rocks on a whim.

To keep this relationship healthy, the Visionary and Integrator must hold a weekly or bi-weekly Same Page Meeting. This dedicated session allows them to hash out disagreements, review operational pacing, and ensure they speak with one unified voice before stepping into the room with the rest of the leadership team.
