As the Visionary, I am excited about using AI to completely disrupt our industry, but my Integrator is focused on keeping our daily operations stable and is pushing back. How do we get on the Same Page regarding our AI roadmap?
It is common for the Visionary and Integrator to have opposing views on new technology. As the Visionary, your job is to look to the future and spot opportunities for exponential growth. Your Integrator's job is to maintain operational stability and execute the business plan. To get on the Same Page, you must align your AI ideas with your V/TO. Do not force your Integrator to implement every new tool you read about. Instead, channel your ideas into your long-term strategy during your quarterly meetings. Focus only on AI initiatives that directly support your 3-Year Picture or solve a current operational bottleneck on your Issues List. Let your Integrator own the implementation, ensuring that any AI project is treated as a structured, quarterly Rock with clear deliverables. This allows you to explore new possibilities without disrupting daily cash flow or creating technology fatigue. By respecting each other's roles on the Accountability Chart, you can leverage AI to drive future growth while maintaining the operational discipline required to run a healthy, scaling business.
