Bypassing your Integrator is a destructive habit that completely undermines the structure of your Accountability Chart. When you give direct operational orders to department heads, you create whiplash, dilute accountability, and make it impossible for your Integrator to manage the day-to-day operations effectively.

To break this habit, you must first accept that your role as Visionary is strategic, not operational. Your primary relationship is with the Integrator, not the department heads. You must operate on the same page, meeting weekly for a Same Page Meeting™ to align your ideas before they ever reach the rest of the team.

When you have a new idea or want to check on a project, write it down and bring it to your next meeting with the Integrator. Do not walk into a director's office or send them a direct message. Let your Integrator filter, prioritize, and run the ideas through the leadership team.

If a department head comes to you for direction, redirect them back to the Integrator. Say, "Have you discussed this with our Integrator?" This reinforces the chain of command and shows the leadership team that you respect the boundaries you created. By practicing this discipline, you protect your Integrator's authority and allow the leadership team to operate cohesively.
