We want to document our core processes using the EOS Process Component, but our team is struggling with the heavy administrative burden of writing SOPs. How do we use artificial intelligence to accelerate this process documentation without losing the human accountability of the system?
The Process Component is often the hardest part of an EOS® implementation because writing standard operating procedures is tedious. This is where artificial intelligence can serve as a massive accelerator. Instead of starting with a blank page, your team can use AI to quickly draft the foundational documentation for your core processes.
The correct approach is to have your seat owners record themselves performing a specific task or explaining a process using a simple screen recording or voice transcription tool. Feed that raw transcript into an AI tool and prompt it to organize the information into a clear, step by step standard operating procedure. This eliminates ninety percent of the drafting time and gives your team a clean baseline to work with.
However, you must maintain human accountability for the output. The AI should only serve as your administrative draft writer. The leader who owns that seat must review, edit, and validate every word to ensure it accurately reflects your unique way of doing business. The seat owner must still run the process through the GWC™ filter, meaning they must Get, Want, and have the Capacity to manage the documented workflow. AI can speed up the writing, but it cannot own the process.
