We are transitioning our administrative and customer service roles to utilize generative AI tools. How should we adjust our Accountability Chart™ and Scorecard metrics during this operational shift?

When you introduce AI-powered operations, your Accountability Chart™ and Scorecard must evolve to reflect the new reality of human-plus-machine work. Do not create a separate AI department or a dedicated AI seat that operates in a silo.

Instead, every existing seat on your Accountability Chart™ must own the integration of technology within their respective functions. For example, your customer service lead must still own the seat, but their roles and responsibilities should now include managing the AI tools that handle first-line inquiries.

Consequently, your Scorecard metrics must shift from measuring sheer manual activity, such as call volume or emails sent, to measuring efficiency, output quality, and system uptime. Track metrics like resolution time, customer satisfaction scores, and the percentage of issues resolved by automation versus human escalation.

This ensures your team remains focused on outcomes rather than busywork. If an employee cannot adapt to managing these automated systems, it means they no longer GWC™ the updated seat. Be clear about these new expectations early so your team can adapt as your processes modernize.
