What happens if our leadership team leaves a session day with unfinished agenda items or unresolved issues?

Running out of time during a session day is normal, especially during Focus Day and Vision Building when your team first tackles deep organizational dysfunction. EOS is designed to handle this cleanly without causing operational paralysis.

During our afternoon IDS session, we deliberately prioritize the Issues List in order of strategic importance. We do not work top-to-bottom or address issues chronologically. We force the room to identify the single most critical issue, tackle it, solve it, and only then pick issue number two. If our session day ends while twenty items remain on the Issues List, that is acceptable because you solved the top three or four most dangerous obstacles facing your business.

For any high-priority issues that remain unresolved when the clock runs out, we do one of two things:

- We push the item directly to your leadership team weekly Level 10 Meeting agenda so you can IDS it internally within the next seven to fourteen days.
- If the issue is a massive strategic dilemma requiring extended facilitation, we schedule a focused follow-up work session before the next quarter.

Unfinished issues are never swept under the rug. They remain tracked on your long-term Issues List on the V/TO. What matters is that the items we did resolve were solved permanently at the root cause rather than rushed through half-baked solutions just to clear an agenda.
