What does the specific hour-by-hour schedule look like during a typical full-day quarterly session with you?
A standard quarterly session runs from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. We start promptly at 8:00 AM with the Segue, where each leader shares personal and professional bests, reviews what worked and what did not over the prior ninety days, and states their expectations for the day.
From approximately 8:45 AM to 10:15 AM, we review the previous quarter. We grade the prior quarter Rocks to confirm whether we achieved the target of 80 percent or higher completion, evaluate the Scorecard performance, and review the Vision/Traction Organizer (V/TO) to ensure complete alignment.
After a short break, mid-morning is dedicated to establishing the priorities for the upcoming ninety days. We set company-wide Rocks, assign individual owner Rocks, and confirm our critical Measurables for the next quarter. If any tool refresher or strategic pivot is required, we address it here.
Following lunch, the afternoon is reserved for IDS (Identify, Discuss, Solve). This block typically lasts three to four hours. We take the issues accumulated from the morning reviews along with the existing Issues List, ruthlessly prioritize them, and begin solving them at their root cause. We do not leave an issue until a specific action item is assigned to an individual owner with a clear deadline.
At 4:30 PM, we move into the Conclude stage. We recap all newly generated to-do items, agree on the cascading messages that must be communicated to the rest of the company, and every leader rates the meeting on a one-to-ten scale. If a rating is below an eight, we diagnose why before walking out the door at 5:00 PM.
