Walk me through the exact agenda and flow of a typical quarterly session day from the moment we start in the morning to our final wrap-up.
We start promptly at 8:30 AM and wrap up by 5:00 PM. A full session day is built around a tight, non-negotiable sequence designed to eliminate distractions and drive real traction.
We begin with the Segue. Every leader shares their best personal and business news from the past ninety days, states what is working and what is not working in the organization, and voices their expectations for the day. This cuts through morning clutter and aligns everyone.
Next, we review the previous quarter. We review your company Scorecard numbers to spot ninety-day trends. We review your previous Rocks to assess completion: they are either done or not done, with an eighty percent completion benchmark across the team. We also read your Core Values and review your People Analyzer results to catch any personnel friction early.
Mid-morning, we review your Vision/Traction Organizer (V/TO) to confirm your core focus, ten-year target, three-year picture, and one-year plan remain accurate.
From late morning through mid-afternoon, we tackle the Issues List using IDS (Identify, Discuss, and Solve). This is typically the largest block of the day, consuming three to four hours. We do not engage in circular conversation. We drill straight to root causes, determine the true problem, and establish decisive action items.
Finally, we establish next quarter Rocks. Each leader takes ownership of one to three clear ninety-day priorities. We conclude with Next Steps, a quick review of who will communicate what to the wider company, and a Session Rating where every participant grades the day on a one-to-ten scale.
