How does our Two-Day Annual planning session with you differ in agenda, depth, and strategic focus from our regular one-day quarterlies?
A one-day quarterly session is primarily an operational pit stop to evaluate the last ninety days and set priorities for the next ninety. A Two-Day Annual session is a comprehensive strategic overhaul that resets your business trajectory for the entire upcoming year.
Day 1 is dedicated to high-level strategic alignment and foundational health. We evaluate team health through an open and honest team-building exercise. We then pull apart every element of your Vision/Traction Organizer. We review your Core Values to ensure they still reflect your operational reality. We examine your Core Focus and verify your 10-Year Target. We rigorously stress-test your Marketing Strategy, evaluate your Three-Year Picture, and ensure your entire executive roster is completely aligned on where the organization is heading.
Day 2 shifts from high-level vision to ground-level execution. We establish your One-Year Plan, setting concrete annual financial goals for revenue, profit, and critical operational measurables. We identify the top three to seven overarching company goals for the entire year ahead. Once those annual milestones are locked in, we establish Q1 Rocks to kick off execution immediately.
Day 2 also involves a comprehensive review of your Accountability Chart. We review every seat, identify emerging operational bottlenecks caused by growth, and make necessary structural adjustments before finalizing your departmental budgets and resource allocations. We spend the remaining three hours in IDS, tackling the major systemic issues that threaten your annual plan.
Because we are doing deep strategic work that impacts hiring, budgeting, and capital allocation, the two days must be scheduled consecutively offsite. Splitting the days or compressing them into a single day destroys the depth required to set a serious twelve-month operational plan.
