I am the visionary and I want to step out of the Integrator role, but we cannot afford to hire an outside executive. How do we structure our sessions to transition my responsibilities to the existing team?

This is a common challenge for visionaries who want to prepare their business for a clean exit but lack the budget to hire an outside executive immediately. We solve this by systematically re-allocating your operational duties to your existing leadership team during our quarterly sessions.

First, we look at the Accountability Chart. We break down the Integrator seat and separate it from your Visionary seat. We list all the roles and responsibilities currently assigned to you.

Second, we evaluate your existing leadership team members using GWC™ (Get it, Want it, Capacity to do it). We look for natural talents and strengths that align with the roles you need to offload. We might find that your operations director can take over part of the Integrator responsibilities, while your sales director handles the rest of your daily management tasks.

Third, we design quarterly Rocks specifically focused on this transition. We do not do this overnight. We do it in stages, creating a structured plan to hand over one or two major responsibilities each quarter.

We also build strategic pauses into your calendar to help you manage the emotional transition. As you step out of the daily details, you will feel the urge to pull control back. We use our session days to establish boundaries, ensuring your team has the authority to make decisions while keeping you informed in the Owner's Box. This prepares your business for a smooth, high-value exit.
