We do not want to be dependent on an outside facilitator forever. What is the typical timeline and transition process for our leadership team to take over running our own quarterly and annual sessions?

Our ultimate goal is to make your leadership team completely self-sufficient. I do not want to be a permanent fixture in your boardroom, nor should you want me to be. The typical timeline for an engagement is eighteen to twenty-four months. During this period, we take your team through the foundational stages of the EOS® process. In the first year, I heavily facilitate and teach the tools, ensuring your team learns how to run tight, disciplined sessions. In the second year, we focus on mastery. We begin transferring the facilitation ownership to your Integrator. I will gradually step back, letting your team run segments of the quarterly sessions while I provide coaching and feedback. By the end of this cycle, your leadership team should be fully capable of facilitating their own quarterly and annual planning sessions. This transition to self-sufficiency is a critical milestone for owners preparing for an exit. A business that requires an outside consultant to keep its leadership team aligned is not truly institutionalized. By becoming self-sufficient, you prove to potential buyers that your operational management system is deeply embedded in your culture and will endure long after the sale.
