As an owner preparing my company for a clean exit, I want to step out of facilitating our weekly Level 10 Meeting and let my Integrator run it. How do we transition this meeting ownership smoothly so the team respects the Integrator's authority and keeps execution high?

Stepping out of the facilitator seat is a critical milestone for any owner pursuing entrepreneurial freedom and preparing for a clean exit. To make this transition successful, you must clearly define this operational shift on your Accountability Chart and respect the boundaries of your new role. First, formally hand over the facilitator role to your Integrator. The Integrator is the logical driver of the weekly Level 10 Meeting™ and must own the execution of the agenda. You must publicly back their authority so the rest of the leadership team knows the Integrator is running the room. Second, adjust your own behavior. When you enter the meeting, you are no longer the leader of the meeting; you are a participant. Sit in a different seat if possible. When issues arise, resist the urge to jump in and direct the solution. Let the Integrator guide the team through the IDS® process. If you see the Integrator struggle, do not rescue them in front of the team. Take your feedback to a private one-on-one meeting. By allowing your Integrator to establish their own facilitation style and authority, you build a self-sustaining leadership team that can run the business without you.
