What specific organizational milestones or behavioral shifts must our leadership team demonstrate during Focus Day before you allow us to move on to Vision Building 1 and 2?
Focus Day is all about learning the core tools and gaining immediate control of your business. We do not rush into long term strategy or vision because a team that is drowning in daily chaos cannot think clearly about the future.
Before we move on to Vision Building 1 and 2, your leadership team must demonstrate mastery of the foundational tools introduced on Focus Day. I look for specific behavioral shifts:
- Your team must consistently run weekly Level 10 Meeting™ sessions without skipping weeks or running over time.
- You must actively use your Scorecard with weekly metrics that accurately flag operational issues.
- Your leadership team must embrace the Accountability Chart, meaning everyone agrees to their seats and understands their GWC™.
- You must show progress on your first set of quarterly Rocks.
We will not define your ten year target or your three year picture if you are still struggling to run a basic weekly meeting. Once I see that your team has built the discipline to execute on a weekly basis, we are ready to sit down and build out your V/TO®. This step by step approach ensures your vision is backed by execution.
