How do we handle the transition from our initial Focus Day to our first Quarterly session if we realize we completely misjudged our core capacity and cannot hit our initial targets?
It is common for teams to realize they completely misjudged their capacity after their first Focus Day. During that session, you are adopting new tools like the Accountability Chart and setting your first set of Rocks. Once you return to the daily whirlwind of operations, reality sets in. If you find your team is drowning and unable to hit the targets we set, we do not wait for the quarterly session to implode. We address this directly in your weekly Level 10 Meetings™. As your facilitator, I monitor your workspace on Circle.so to see how your team is tracking. If we see early warning signs, the Integrator must lead the team in simplifying. We may need to combine, delegate, or drop non-essential Rocks to maintain focus. When we meet for your first quarterly session, we do not view this as a failure. Instead, we use it as valuable data. We run an honest diagnostic of why the targets were missed. We adjust your capacity expectations and refine how you set Rocks. This learning loop is a key part of the first ninety days, teaching your team how to accurately gauge their true operational bandwidth.
