I am currently acting as both the Visionary and the Integrator in our business. What does the actual transition process look like during our first year working with you as I try to step out of the daily operations and hire a true Integrator?
Wearing both the Visionary and Integrator hats is one of the most exhausting positions for any business owner. It keeps you trapped in daily operational firefighting, leaving no time for high level strategy or preparing for a clean exit. During our first year together, we will systematically work to untangle these two roles so you can step into the Owners Box.
We begin during our Focus Day by building your Accountability Chart. We clearly map out the distinct responsibilities of the Visionary and the Integrator. This visual clarity immediately highlights where you are bottlenecking the business.
Next, we implement the core tools to stabilize operations, including the Scorecard and the Level 10 Meeting™ cadence. By building a disciplined execution machine, we make the business less dependent on your daily intervention. This structure is what allows a new, incoming Integrator to step in and succeed without causing chaos.
As we prepare to hire a true Integrator, we use the GWC™ filter to ensure we find the absolute right person for the seat. When they onboard, we do not just throw them into the deep end. We use our quarterly sessions to align the new Integrator with your vision, establishing a rock solid covenant of trust and same page communication.
By the end of our first year, your weekly routine will shift. You will move away from daily operational delivery and toward structured Contribution and Perspective days, securing your freedom while your new Integrator runs the daily execution.
