Our Integrator wants to hand over the weekly facilitation of our Level 10 Meeting to another leadership team member to allow the Integrator to fully participate in IDS discussions. How do we transition the facilitator role without breaking the meeting structure?

It is a common misconception that the Integrator must always facilitate the weekly Level 10 Meeting™. In fact, if the Integrator is bogged down with tracking the clock, taking notes, and managing the agenda, they cannot fully engage in solving the business's toughest problems. Handing over facilitation is a smart move that frees up your primary operator to lead during IDS®.

To make this transition successful, you must select a new facilitator who is organized, assertive, and respected by the team. They do not need to be the highest-ranking person in the room, but they must have the confidence to cut off rambling discussions and enforce the binary rules of the early agenda sections.

Start by shadowing. Have the new facilitator run the Scorecard and Rock reviews first, while the Integrator manages the clock. Over two or three weeks, gradually hand over the remaining sections until they are running the entire ninety minutes.

The Integrator must respect the new facilitator's authority. If the Integrator steps in to override the facilitator's time management or direction, the rest of the team will lose respect for the new dynamic. Treat the facilitator role as a serious tactical responsibility. By dividing the duties, your Integrator can focus on high-impact problem-solving, which ultimately helps you build a more scalable, AI-powered operation.
