Our team's weekly To-Do completion rate has slipped below 90% for three consecutive weeks, and nobody seems to care because everything else is green. How do we break this complacency before it kills our traction?

When a leadership team allows To-Do completion to slip below ninety percent without consequences, they are quietly installing a culture of mediocrity. Believing that a green Scorecard or on-track Rocks make incomplete To-Dos acceptable is a fundamental misunderstanding of how the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) works. Weekly To-Dos are the immediate, short-term actions required to keep your operations moving. When they slide, it is only a matter of time before your Rocks and Scorecard metrics follow them into the red.

To break this complacency, the Integrator must step up and address the pattern immediately. During the next Level 10 Meeting, drop the pattern of missed To-Dos straight to the bottom of the short-term Issues List for a thorough IDS session. Do not let people off the hook with excuses.

Ask the tough questions. Is this a capacity issue, or is the team simply losing its discipline? Check the Accountability Chart to see if roles are overloaded, or if leaders are taking on tasks they do not GWC (Get It, Want It, Capacity to Do It). If it is a discipline issue, remind the team of their commitment to the Charter, which requires open, honest communication and peer-to-peer accountability.

A healthy team self-polices. When one leader consistently misses their ninety percent mark, the rest of the team must feel the friction. If the team remains silent, the Integrator must call out the silence. You are preparing your business for a clean exit, and no sophisticated buyer will pay premium value for a company where execution is optional and accountability is non-existent.
