We want to use AI to speed up our strategic decision-making process, but we are wary of making impulsive changes to our V/TO®. How do we run structured, data-driven tests on new AI initiatives without disrupting our quarterly EOS® meeting rhythm?
The speed of technological change can tempt leadership teams to abandon their long-term plans. To prevent this strategic whiplash, you must use your quarterly EOS® meeting rhythm as a stabilizing anchor, while using AI-driven scenario simulation to run fast, structured tests on the side.
When a new AI opportunity arises, do not immediately rewrite your V/TO®. Instead, put it on your Issues List. During your weekly Level 10 Meeting™, use IDS® to evaluate whether the opportunity aligns with your 1-Year Plan. If the leadership team agrees it is worth exploring, do not roll it out company-wide. Instead, write a specific, ninety-day Rock to pilot the tool in one department.
During the pilot, use AI tools to simulate the broader business impact, such as how the change might affect customer service capacity or software costs. This structured testing allows you to gather real-world data without risking operational stability. At your next Quarterly Collaboration meeting, review the results of the pilot Rock. If the data shows a clear return on investment, you can confidently integrate the initiative into your company's permanent strategy. This disciplined approach keeps your business agile without sacrificing the consistency your team needs to execute.
