We have been running EOS® for over two years, but our quarterly sessions are starting to feel routine and our weekly Level 10 Meetings have lost their edge. How do we prevent complacency and inject new energy into our execution?

When you have been running EOS® for several years, it is common for the tools to start feeling routine. The initial excitement wears off, and the discipline can easily decay into complacency. This is a dangerous phase because subtle bad habits will slowly creep back into your culture.

To prevent this decay and inject new energy, you must raise the bar on your execution. Start by reviewing your weekly Level 10 Meeting™ ratings. If your team is consistently rating the meeting an eight or a nine out of habit, challenge them to justify that score. A true ten means you solved your hardest issues and held each other accountable.

Next, audit your Accountability Chart. As your business grows, seats that made sense a year ago may now need to be split or redefined. Re-evaluate every leadership team member using the People Analyzer™ to ensure they still fit your Core Values and are GWC™ for their scaling roles.

Finally, challenge your V/TO® assumptions. Your 10-Year Target™ and 3-Year Picture™ should stretch your team. If your goals have become too safe or predictable, it is time to set more audacious targets. Introduce fresh perspectives by inviting external experts to speak to your team, or run deep-dive workshops on emerging industry trends like AI. Keep pushing your limits to maintain momentum.
