We have some high energy Visionaries and some introverted analytical types. How do you structure the physical flow and hourly agenda of our session days so we do not end up exhausted and checked out by 2 PM?
A typical session day is a high intensity, eight hour block of pure focus. We begin sharp at 8:30 AM and wrap up by 5:00 PM. To keep both high energy Visionaries and analytical types fully engaged, we run on a strict, predictable rhythm. We break the day into logical ninety minute blocks, separated by ten minute breaks to clear your head, check urgent messages, and keep your body moving. Lunch is a hard sixty minute break where we do not talk about business. We alternate between intense strategic debate and structured, quiet work. This keeps the room from experiencing cognitive fatigue.
During the first half of the day, we focus on looking back and reviewing your tools. We look at your previous quarter Rocks, your Scorecard performance, and your V/TO®. This portion of the day requires high analytical focus. In the afternoon, we transition to solving your biggest issues using the IDS® tool. This is where the creative and strategic energy peaks. By structuring the day this way, we match the natural cognitive capacity of your team. The analytical minds get the data and structure they crave early on. The visionary minds get the strategic problem solving they thrive on later in the day. You will leave tired, but you will not feel drained because we manage the room's energy systematically.
