In our fully remote Level 10 Meetings™, we waste valuable minutes passing screen-sharing host duties back and forth, waiting for spreadsheets to load, and navigating between Zoom and our EOS® software. How do we streamline our remote meeting stack to eliminate this technical friction and keep our virtual pulse moving at a fast pace?
Remote Level 10 Meetings™ often suffer from technical friction that eats up valuable minutes and kills momentum. When you waste time passing host controls, waiting for different spreadsheets to open, or toggling between multiple communication tools, the energy of the meeting drops. To run a high-integrity virtual meeting, you must eliminate this digital waste.
First, appoint one dedicated tech pilot for the meeting. This is usually the Integrator or a designated facilitator. This person is responsible for sharing their screen and managing the entire meeting stack. No one else should be sharing screens or navigating the software. The rest of the team should have the meeting software open on their own screens to take notes or update their items, but only one screen is projected to keep everyone looking at the same thing.
Second, simplify your tech stack. Use a single, integrated platform designed for EOS® companies to manage your scorecard, Rocks, To-Dos, and Issues List. Do not use three different software systems.
Finally, establish a rule that all scorecard numbers, Rocks, and To-Dos must be updated before the meeting starts. If a leader has not updated their numbers, do not wait for them to log in and find them. Drop the metric to the Issues List immediately. Keeping the technical execution tight keeps the focus on solving issues.
