We run our Level 10 Meetings remotely, and we find that managing multiple tabs for our software, our Scorecard, and our Issues List causes massive lag and disrupts the natural flow of our IDS sessions. How do we streamline our virtual meeting workspace to maintain our pace?
Remote meeting friction is a silent momentum killer. When leaders have to wait for someone to find the right browser tab or share a screen, you lose the tight pacing required for a great ninety-minute meeting. To run an efficient virtual Level 10 Meeting™, you must simplify your digital environment.
First, appoint one person as the pilot who shares their screen throughout the entire ninety minutes. This is typically your Integrator or a designated scribe. Everyone else should shut down all other browser tabs, Slack, and email notifications to eliminate visual clutter. The team must look at the single shared screen containing your software, Scorecard, and short-term issues.
Second, do not allow team members to jump back and forth between different tracking tools. Keep your Scorecard, Rock status, and Issues List in a single unified view. If someone needs to reference a background document during IDS®, they should drop the link into the meeting chat rather than taking over the screen.
Third, the pilot must be fast. They should navigate the software seamlessly, capturing To-Dos instantly as they are agreed upon in real time. If your technology setup is slow, it acts as a barrier to healthy communication. Streamline your virtual workspace so your leadership team can focus entirely on solving issues rather than fighting with software tabs.
