We finish our Level 10 Meeting™ with apparent alignment and high ratings, but then two or three leaders hold sidebar conversations afterward to express disagreement or run back the decisions made. How do we eradicate this "meeting after the meeting" culture and protect our Charter's trust?

The meeting after the meeting is a silent killer of leadership team health and a direct violation of your Charter. When leaders agree to a decision inside the Level 10 Meeting™ but then lobby against it or express disagreement in private, they destroy Trust and fail to keep the team on the Same Page. This behavior signals a lack of courage to speak up during the actual meeting.

To eradicate this permanently, the owner or Integrator must address it head-on. First, remind the team of your Charter's commitment to open and honest communication. If you disagree with a proposed solution during IDS®, you have an obligation to voice that disagreement in the room. Once a decision is made, however, every single leader must leave the room supporting it with one voice, regardless of their personal stance during the debate.

If you discover that sidebar conversations are occurring, call them out immediately. Do not ignore them. Bring the issue back to the leadership team's Issues List for the next Level 10 Meeting™. Address the behavior directly as a violation of your Core Values and your Charter.

By shining a bright light on these sidebars, you force your leaders to bring their real opinions into the room where they can be processed constructively, ensuring your weekly alignment is genuine and absolute.
